Dr. Taleen Kalajian grew up in MA and graduated Cum Laude from Boston University with an undergraduate degree in Behavior and Health Sciences and a minor in Biology. She continued her studies at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, UConn SDM, where she received her dental degree.

While at UConn SDM, Dr. Kalajian’s achievements earned her the Kohrman Award and the International College of Dentists Student Leadership Award. She was an active member of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) chapter at UConn SDM where she served as Vice President and President. She volunteered at events such as Give Kids a Smile and lobbied on Capitol Hill on behalf of her patients and dental colleagues through the organization.

Dr. Kalajian was also the class representative acting as the liaison between pre-doctoral students and other local ASDA chapter members. As a result of her commitment and dedication to ASDA, she was awarded the ASDA Award of Excellence and was selected as the ASDA District 1 New England Delegate of the Year. The Connecticut State Dental Association presented her with the Charles A. Vernale Award for her community involvement and support of public health interests.

Following dental school, Dr. Kalajian completed her general practice residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, Armenian International Women’s Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

In her spare time, you can find Dr. Kalajian learning a new song on the guitar or walking around Boston to find the best latte in the city. Dr. Kalajian prioritizes spending quality time with her family and friends whether it be by perfecting a family recipe or traveling to new cities. Dr. Kalajian’s enjoys exploring the outdoors with her rescue dog, Bella.
