Pediatric Dental Associates and the Group Practice work closely together as a team. Our pediatric dental hygienists, dental assistants, and full office staff at the Reading and Winchester locations stays current on the latest advances in research and treatment so you know you’ll get the most advanced dental care available anywhere.

Linda M. McKim – Practice Administrator

Linda McKim has been the Practice Administrator of the PDA Dental Group for more than fifteen years. Linda is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Northeastern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. At Northeastern she was also inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society in recognition of her outstanding scholastic achievements. Linda has proven to be an excellent leader of our multi-location and multi-specialty dental practice which has more than fifty employees. Her position requires daily coordination of our systems operations and implementation of business strategies to manage billing, personnel, marketing, accounts receivables, accounts payable and long-range planning. She is a lifetime member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers.

Linda currently resides in Wakefield, MA with her husband Bob and her two daughters Kayla and Alexa. In her free time, she enjoys spending time watching her daughters play hockey, basketball, lacrosse and volleyball.

 

 

 

 

Pediatric Dentists

Dr. Gary Warrington, DMD

A graduate of the University of Maine, Dr. Gary Warrington completed his dental school education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated magna cum laude. He also received awards for clinical achievement in both Pediatric Dentistry and Endodontics and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society.

Following his graduation from Tufts, he completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the Tufts-New England Medical Center.

In addition to all aspects of pediatric and adolescent dentistry, this program offered experience in hospital pediatric dentistry, dental care of medically compromised children and behavior management techniques. Dr. Warrington is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and past president of the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to his practice in Winchester and Reading, Dr. Warrington has a faculty appointment as a pediatric dentist at Tufts and is a staff member of the Tufts Dental Facilities for persons with special needs.

Dr. Geraldine C. Garcia-Rogers, DMD, MS

Dr. Geraldine Garcia-Rogers –“Dr. Gigi” – is a Wildcat (BS, Villanova University), Jumbo (DMD, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine), and Wolverine (MS, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor). She was born and raised in New York (and stays neutral when it comes to Red Sox vs. Yankees and Patriots vs. Giants), but has lived in Massachusetts since 1997. She and her husband have two boys and are busily enjoying their lives together.

Dr. Gigi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Fellow of the International College of Dentistry. She is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, having served on the Leadership Task Force, the Council on Dental Practice and the Executive Committee of the Middlesex District Dental Society. In 2011, she received the William McKenna Volunteer Hero Award for her service to the dental society. Dr. Gigi is on staff at the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Brighton, MA, and at the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton, MA.

Dr. Gigi is also a leader in her community, serving as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, as an advisory board member of the family religious education programs at her church, and as a past member of Rotary Club and the executive committee for Project Stretch, a non-profit dental organization serving those without access to care. When she is not busy working, Dr. Gigi enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school, driving her kids to their many activities, and jamming with her garage band, “7 or 7”, on keyboards, guitar and vocals.

Dr. Sonia J. Wu, DMD

Dr. Sonia J. Wu is a graduate of Cornell University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Following her graduation from dental school, Dr. Wu completed a two-year residency program in pediatric dentistry at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. While in New York, Dr. Wu also served as a Clinical Instructor in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University.

Dr. Wu has been active in community service projects, having provided dental education and screening for children of underserved communities and Headstart, and has worked with the Special Smiles program of the Special Olympics. Dr. Wu has also made a research presentation to the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of that organization. She is also a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Nicole (Cuff) Harrington, DMD

Dr. Nicole (Cuff) Harrington, was born and raised in Winchester MA.  She has been a life-long patient of PDA and can proudly say her experiences have inspired her to become a Pediatric Dentist.

Dr. Nicole  is a graduate of Stonehill College where she earned  her Bachelor of Science degree  with a major in Biology and was captain of the varsity women’s lacrosse team.  Dr.  Nicole received her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, she earned Tufts Merit Scholarships for outstanding academic performance and received the senior award for Clinical Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry. Upon graduation from dental school, her academic honors included magna cum laude and induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Nicole completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Nicole is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Massachusetts Dental Society.  In 2014, Dr. Nicole served as the Chair to the Middlesex District and was awarded the 10 Under ten award by the Massachusetts Dental Society to honor her significant contributions to the dental profession, the community, and organized dentistry.

Dr. Nicole currently resides in North Reading MA with her husband Josh, sons Tyler, Drew and Chase, along with their dog Brinley. She enjoys the opportunity to provide dental care to children of the communtiy where she grew up and also of the town where she currently lives.

Dr. Matthew D. Freitas, DMD

Dr. Matthew D. Freitas was raised in Chelmsford, MA. While in high school, he won state championship in both diving and pole vaulting. He is a graduate of Brown University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and competed on the varsity swimming and diving team. At Brown he was awarded a teaching and research assistantship scholarship in neuroscience and earned the scholar athlete award. Dr. Matt received his dental degree from Tufts University. While at Tufts, he focused his training in pediatric dentistry and completed specialized training in the treatment of cleft lip and palate.

Dr. Matt obtained his post-graduate specialty training in pediatric dentistry as chief resident at the Lutheran Pediatric Dentistry Specialty Program in Providence, RI. He also completed specialized training in presurgical treatment of cleft lip and palate at New York University. During his residency he was on the cleft team at Hasbro Hospital in Rhode Island, providing presurgical nasoalveolar molding (NAM) for infants with clefts. Dr. Matt is currently treating patients on the cleft team at Tufts.

Dr. Matt is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Matt currently resides in Sudbury, MA with his partner, son, and their two goldendoodle dogs. He has run both the Chicago and Boston Marathons. He enjoys spending time with his son, long-distance running and cooking.

Dr. Talia Miller, DMD

Dr. Talia Miller received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, Cum Laude, from the University of Vermont. She continued her studies at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she earned her dental degree and completed her pediatric dental residency. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded The Excellence Award by The Department of Restorative Sciences Division of Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Over the years, Dr. Talia has given her time to various organizations such as Special Olympic Special Smiles in addition to teaching Hebrew classes to 6th graders.

Dr. Talia is currently a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been practicing pediatric dentistry for over six years and is excited to join PDA Dental Group.

Dr. Talia lives in Needham with her husband Greg and two daughters, Orly and Sivan. She enjoys cooking, playing with her kids, dancing and hosting taco night for friends!

Dr. Grace Gianneschi, DMD

Dr. Grace Gianneschi received her Bachelor of Science degree, Summa Cum Laude, from The Ohio State University. She then received her dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, and she was awarded the American Academic of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-doctoral Student Award for Outstanding Promise in the Field of Pediatric Dentistry and the Harvard Dental Alumni Association Silver Medal for Outstanding All-Around Scholastic Achievement. Her academic excellence earned her induction in to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Grace went on to complete her two-year speciality training in Pediatric Dentistry and also received her Master of Science in Dentistry from The Ohio State University / Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Her dedication to children’s dental health and building awareness is shown through her commitment to community service. She has volunteered at many educational programs in schools and co-founded a volunteer student-run dental clinic. She has experience treating patients with special health care needs. Dr. Grace has truly enjoyed getting involved with many organizations over the years. She is a board eligible Pediatric Dentist and is currently a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Grace lives in Boston and loves it! In her free time, Dr. Grace enjoys yoga, traveling, exploring the city and spending time with her family.

Dr. Sean Ghassem-Zadeh, DMD

Dr. Sean Ghassem-Zadeh is a native of Connecticut, a graduate of the University of Connecticut and a huge Huskies fan. Dr. Sean completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with honors at UConn while in the dual-degree undergraduate/DMD program. He then completed his dental degree at the UConn Health Center with multiple distinctions including induction into the National Dental Honor Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Research Fellowship, and the American College of Dentists Leadership Award.

Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Sean completed his 2-year specialty training in UConn’s Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center where he served as chief resident. Dr. Sean is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Sean currently lives in Somerville, MA. Outside of dentistry, he likes playing tennis, racquetball and fishing.

Dr. Joseph P. O’Donnell, DMD, MS (Retired)

Dr. Joseph P. O'Donnell is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. O'Donnell completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Tufts–New England Medical Center and Tufts University where he received his Master's Degree and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society, and Sigma Xi, the honorary research society.

Dr. O'Donnell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a past president of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to his practice in Winchester and Reading, Dr. O'Donnell has served as Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at the Tufts–New England Medical Center and Dentist in Chief of the Tufts Dental Facilities for persons with special needs. Dr. O'Donnell is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. O'Donnell's outside interests include creative writing.  He is the author of three mystery novels, the main character of which is the basis for a screenplay that is being made into a feature motion picture.  He and his wife, Ronney, are also the proud parents of two grown children and two wonderful granddaughters.

Orthodontic Dentists

Shannon L. Duffy, DMD

Dr. Shannon L. Duffy is a graduate of Brandeis University where she majored in Biology and was a member of the varsity women's basketball team. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Duffy completed her three year post-graduate training in orthodontics at Stony Brook University in New York.

Dr. Duffy conducted research at Stony Brook and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and her work was published in scientific journals. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Carolyn Ferrick, DMD

Dr. Carolyn J. Ferrick is a proud native of Winchester, MA . She graduated summa cum laude from Emmanuel College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  Dr. Ferrick then went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated in the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society.

After dental school, Dr. Ferrick matriculated into the Orthodontic residency program at Tufts. Her passions in Orthodontics include the treatment of anterior open bites and developing close bonds with her patients and their families.

Dr. Ferrick is a true New England native and loves apple picking in the fall and spending summers on the Cape. She is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

Shannon L. Duffy, DMD

After dental school, Dr. Ferrick matriculated into the Orthodontic residency program at Tufts. Her passions in Orthodontics include the treatment of anterior open bites and developing close bonds with her patients and their families.

Dr. Ferrick is a true New England native and loves apple picking in the fall and spending summers on the Cape. She is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Kimberly Weiss, DDS

A graduate of Brandeis University where she graduated Cum Laude, Dr. Kimberly Weiss pursued her dental education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where, once again, she graduated Cum Laude. While at Ohio State she served as Team Dentist for varsity athletes and received the Demkee Dental Athletic Provider Award.

Following dental school, she entered the two-year post-graduate Harvard Wide General Practice Residency Program. Dr. Weiss was named Chief Resident during her second year and received the Biotene Award for excellence in Hospital Dentistry in recognition of meritorious achievement, scholarship and contributions to the practice of hospital dentistry.

Dr. Weiss has had more than eighteen years of experience in general dentistry while engaging in a private dental practice and later with the Massachusetts General Hospital Dental Group. She has also been an instructor and advisor to dental students at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Weiss’ areas of expertise include all aspects of general restorative and prosthetic dentistry, crowns, bridges and the restoration of dental implants. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Her personal hobbies include reading, hiking, skiing and spending time with her husband and three children.

Dr. Melissa J. Torres, DDS

Dr. Melissa J. Torres received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Cum Laude, from Salem State University.  She continued her studies at Howard University College of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, placing 2nd in her class. Her academic achievement earned her induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She received The Dr. H. Norton Duhaney Award in Fixed Prosthodontics and the Department of Restorative Dentistry Award, along with being recognized for Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in the Study of Prosthodontics.

While attending school, Dr. Torres expanded her skills and experience by working with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, completing internships through various programs such as Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and volunteering at numerous dental clinics and healthcare fairs.

She completed her post graduate residency through the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Torres enjoys running, traveling, exploring new restaurants and spending time with her fiancé and family.
