Bright Smiles Program
PDA Dental Group believes community outreach and education are important components of our dental services. The Bright Smiles Program is our way to offer free, comprehensive dental educational programs to children.
For over 15 years, we have visited local preschools and daycares. These presentations include a book segment with Canine our friendly puppet to review the dental visit, good dental habits and homecare, snacking and nutrition, and a fun game at the end in which children actively participate. In conclusion, a brief summary is done to reinforce the information.
We also participate in elementary school fairs (health, community helpers, etc.) and presentations.
In 2017, we expanded our educational presentations to include visits to elementary and middle schools, libraries, mothers’ groups, and toddler play groups. Topics to be discussed for the elementary school and middle school ages will include: the importance of good oral hygiene, nutrition and snacking, early orthodontics, mouth guards for sports, and the dangers of chewing tobacco.
Duration of presentations range from fifteen to thirty minutes based on age group. However, length of visit can be modified to accommodate your schedule.
We can also customize a presentation for your group if you have specific topics you’d like reviewed. All presentations are given by either a pediatric dentist, orthodontist, or registered dental hygienist.
If you are interested in scheduling a presentation from our program, please contact: Lina Pappalardo, RDH at 781-944-7799 or email@example.com.
